DPDP Act 2023 Compliance Edition | Last Updated: April 23, 2026

1. Data Principal Rights

In accordance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDP) 2023, you are the "Data Principal." LastWish acts as the "Data Fiduciary." You have the right to access, correct, and erase your personal data stored within our heritage systems.

2. Purpose of Collection

We collect personal identifiers (Aadhaar, PAN, Biometrics) solely for the purpose of verifying your identity during the "Heartbeat" check-ins and to ensure the secure handover of your estate to designated heirs. We do not sell your heritage data to third-party marketers.

3. Zero-Knowledge Encryption

Sensitive documents (Wills, Deeds) are encrypted at the client-side using SHA-256 and AES-256. Scriptika Solutions does not hold the keys to your private vault. Your data is your property, and we maintain it in an "Immutable" state for forensic auditing.

4. Post-Mortem Data Rights

Upon your demise, your data rights transition to your nominated "Data Nominee" or Executor as specified in your account settings. This is a critical component of the DPDP Act 2023 regarding the management of deceased individuals' digital footprints.

5. Data Breach Notification

While we use institutional-grade security, in the event of a suspected data breach, we will notify you and the Data Protection Board of India within the mandatory timelines prescribed by law.
